Digify vs ShareVault
A cheap, simple document-tracking tool, against a full data room built for life sciences deals.
Digify: Digify, out of Singapore, is not trying to be a full deal room the way the others on this list are. It is a lighter tool built for tracking and watermarking documents you send out, like a pitch deck or a proposal, and it is priced for smaller budgets at $120 a month. It does not have a built-in Q&A box, so it is not the right fit for a formal deal process with lots of back-and-forth questions, but for simple document sharing with tracking, it does the job well and cheaply.
ShareVault: ShareVault has been around since 2003 and is especially known in life sciences and licensing deals, on top of regular M&A work. It is built for situations where you need to control exactly who can see which document and log into the room with company credentials, which matters when you are sharing early research or patent data with a partner.

What to verify yourself before you commit
Everything above comes from what each company publishes, not a hands-on test we ran. Before you sign up with either one, confirm directly with the vendor: the exact current price for your deal size (quote-only pricing moves with deal size, user count and length), whether the certifications listed are current (a certification can lapse without the marketing page updating), and whether any feature you are counting on (redaction, single sign-on, a mobile app) is in the plan tier you would actually be buying, not a higher tier. A quick demo call answers all three faster than reading a features page.
Switching later
Moving a live deal from Digify to ShareVault, or back, is disruptive: every document needs to be re-uploaded, permissions rebuilt and every guest re-invited, and anyone mid-way through reviewing a file starts over. It is worth the extra care up front to pick the right one rather than switching once documents are already loaded and guests already have access.
